In the year 2014, Teachers Development Centre TDC celebrated its 18th year of dedication and achievement towards education; empowering more than 42,000 teachers and educators across Pakistan by providing multiple training courses and workshops.
The motto of TDC is: when the roots of the tree turn yellow you do not paint them green, you water the roots. Unless we water the roots of intelligence in our society, .i.e. train teachers, we cannot transform education, effectively and sustainably.

The year 2014, Abbas Husain with his team, organized twenty-two Teachers Resource Group (TRG) workshops throughout the year. A 100 hour Master Teacher course (MTC) and Novice Teacher’s Course (NTC) organized at TDC. The aim of these training programs is to build a community of trainers that are professionally skilled and dedicated to use interactive teaching methodologies in classroom.

The three-day Roots Teacher Development Conference 2014
The Roots School teachers and over 450 delegates from different regions participated in the conference.Abbas Husain was the moderator and keynote speaker for the ROOTS Annual Teachers’ Development Conference 2014. The topic of keynote speech was ‘Rebranding Classrooms; Stay ahead in flipping classrooms through 5 Cs’ Abbas Husain, addressing the conference, emphasized on the necessity for empowerment of teachers and inculcation of qualities of honesty, integrity and credibility in students through teachers.
