INTERACTIVE STRATEGIES & PORTFOLIO WRITING – 17th -19th AUGUST 2015
The interactive three – day workshop at Salamat School System, Lahore was organized for school heads and teachers on 17th, 18th and 19th August 2015. Abbas Husain conducted workshops on Interactive Strategies and Portfolio Writing. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a new vision for language teaching. It provides a conceptual framework and pedagogical language teaching strategies which enable teachers to use them to make language classroom interactive and challenging for learners.
ADULT LEARNING – 12th AUGUST 2015
Abbas Husain conducted a workshop on ‘Adult Learning’ at DHA Suffa University (Karachi) on 12th August 2015. The workshop focused on developing research skills in teachers and students to grow intellectually, academically, and professionally. To become a globally recognized institution, the university needs to upgrade facilities, update the curricula to incorporate new ideas, and keep pace with the emerging trends and technologies. Coordinate and provide facilities for exchange of knowledge and applied research in the newly emerging fields in collaboration with national and international universities.
CLASSROOM DYNAMICS – 8th AUGUST 2015
The Training session for Sind Model School Part Two (comprised of two sessions- first session was held on Saturday, 8th August 2015, while second session was held on Saturday, 15th August) Fareed Ahmad, Co- trainer at TDC conducted both the sessions at TDC. The workshop titled, ‘Classroom Dynamics’ aim to enhance professional development of teachers, to plan lesson effectively, plan group or peer work that improves effectiveness and efficiency of children and keeps them motivated and engaged.
